Drinking Water

Over 480 Million people don't have access to safe drinking water. In some Indian villages, women face the daily challenge of collecting water for their families. They often walk a great distance and spend up to four hours each day carrying water to their homes. Even then, this need isn't always met. Occasionally the women can only gather muddy water, and well owners often chase them away. David Livingstone Ministries is helping to combat the problem by drilling water wells. Once the wills are in place, we teach them basic health practices. The need is so great. In one region alone, 1500 villages, in our ministry area, are still waiting for safe water wells. When we are able to offer medicine and safe drinking water and provide a permanent blessing for a village, their lives are changed. David Livingstone Ministries India wants to make this there continual mission in India. We want to do even more, but it costs 25,000 rupees to put in one of these wells. When you give 25,000 a plaque will be placed next to the well with your name and where you are from.
